question 1:
What was your reason to start the challenge?
It’s finally time to look after me! I’m a mum to a gorgeous girl, getting divorced, a veteran, a full time RAAF Officer and a part time uni student - somewhere in there my body and I lost our connection. Food has become my comfort friend and at the same time has my killed my confidence and body image. Every day is a struggle to get dressed - even in uniform - and I struggle to feel proud in that uniform. I want to feel and look strong and confident for myself, my daughter, and for the next chapter of my life.

What did you like most about the challenge?
The support of Maxine's online community was the most motivating and encouraging forum I have ever been part of. The like-minded people trying to improve their own well-being at the same time let you know you weren't alone. When I did have struggles I reached out and got immediate advice, encouragement, and follow-up check in to ensure my problem was being solved.
question 3:
What was the hardest thing about your challenge?
The first couple of weeks was the most difficult for me as the life change in both diet and exercise was extreme. I was surprised at the amount of good food I was allocated in the first four weeks - all good food - but it was hard to consume that allocation after I had previously wasted those calories on non-healthy options.
question 4:
What impact has the challenge had on your life?
I am a new me! New work uniforms, new vigour, new confidence, and a renewed love for myself, exercise, and good nutrition. I have also found a community full of positive people striving to achieve a better version of themselves and I love being part of such a positive and motivated group. I am already signed up for my next round and can't wait to see what I will learn next.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing the challenge?
Take the first small step and register. That will be your first small step of many small steps that will add up to a massive journey to make you the fittest and healthiest you can be. Twelve weeks complete, a new lifetime to go!

Anything else you would like to tell us about the challenge?
I want to thank Maxine's Challenge for the changes it has inspired in me. The new me will be a better mother, a better aviator, and a better person for the rest of my life.
