question 1:
What was your reason to start the challenge?
There are so many reasons why I have entered the challenge. Firstly, I want to be a good example to my children in relation to all thing’s health and weight. There are so many fads out there and my little girl is already worried about her weight, so I really want to be a healthy example for them and demonstrate what healthy and fit should look like. I need to lose weight – Dr’s orders! I have been told that I have very high cholesterol and that I need to lose weight and lower my cholesterol, especially because family history of severe heart disease. So, losing weight is no longer just something I want for myself, I actually need to get my health in order and maintain it if I want to avoid medication or future health concerns. Finally, I really want to lose weight, get fit and strong and reach my goal of fitting back into my size 10 clothes. I have a wardrobe full that I have not been able to wear in years. I want to look and feel fit, healthy and toned, to match how I feel on the inside. I also want to look fab in a bikini! Also super excited ..., because my husband is doing this challenge with me.... so it will be a family lifestyle change. Very excited about having “becoming healthy” a family goal! What did you like most about the challenge?
love how much you learn about exercise and nutrition. The support from the coaches as well as the the other contestants makes the journey not only informative but fun.

What was the hardest thing about your challenge?
For me it was injuries and this round lack of equipment due to covid-19. I became creative and used household bottles and sand to make my weights heavier.

What impact has the challenge had on your life?
The challenge is life-changing! It has helped me not only to transform my health and body, which in turn has increased my confidence and happiness!

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing the challenge?
Do it! Don’t wait just start!

Thank you for all the support and advice, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic when the Maxine's team shared so many tips and little videos to help us get through this crazy time, encouraging us not to quit and providing us with so many home training alternatives.
